I was born in Bangladesh, and having lived in England during my late teens, I moved to the United States in 2013 to pursue higher education and chose Northern Sate University as the destination for my undergraduate degree. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Northern in 2017 including a 7 month long technical support internship. After graduation, I worked in various IT roles in different organizations within the United States. I currently work as a Data Engineer at a software company called Denodo which is recognized as a leading logical data management platform provider. I am passionate and curious about technology. I am also an avid follower of the English soccer team Arsenal F .C. and enjoy traveling, cooking and spending time with my family.
The tech industry is one of the most competitive industries where talent from all over the world compete to make their mark. I was fortunate to have got a head start at Northern State University, which paved the way for me later in my career. While I was taking SQL and Java courses from my major, an enthusiasm and curiosity sparked in me which later turned into an opportunity to become a tutor in those courses, thanks to Professor Scott Peterson, who was instrumental and influential in shaping my early career. Professor Peterson also referred me to the hiring manager of Bobcat Company who was at the career fair on campus. I interviewed at short notice and was able to demonstrate the knowledge required for the internship which I gathered from my academics and tutoring experience. I was also awarded course credits for my internship program. My academic credentials and internship experience helped me land my first full time IT job after graduation.
