 I-20, VISA, and Immigration Support 
  • Northern’s PDSO or DSO will communicate with you as you progress to this stage of our admissions process. You will be instructed on how to pay the I-901 fee and schedule your VISA appointment.
  • For current students, you will receive communication regarding maintaining your F-1 status, travel guidance, and support with your academic journey as it pertains to immigration rules and regulations. 
Health Insurance 

Enrollment in health insurance is a mandatory requirement for all international students. All Northern international students will receive communication about health insurance enrollment at the start of every semester.

International Student Orientation

Northern’s International Programs holds a mandatory International Student Orientation before the start of every semester (Fall and Spring). If this is your first semester at Northern, you are required to be in attendance for this orientation in its entirety.

Dates for Northern’s International Student Orientation will be communicated to all incoming international students months prior to the start of the semester.
