An on-campus early college experience for area students taking dual-credit courses

The Northern Academy early college experience is designed to improve the transition to college or technical school for juniors and seniors who meet academic requirements to take high school dual-credit courses.

Engage on Campus

Northern Academy students take their dual-credit courses on campus, which helps develop a sense of community and belonging among students and with Northern’s outstanding and engaging faculty.

Experience the College Environment

Open to Aberdeen-area high school students, the academy allows participating young adults to experience what life is like on a college campus with full wrap-around services and support. Academy Director Eric Kline is point of contact for students taking dual credit courses on campus.

Full Scholarships Available

Scholarships are available for income-qualifying, underserved and first-generation college students. The Northern Academy and scholarship are supported through a grant from the South Dakota Education Access Foundation.
