  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Several Northern State University students will be participating in the upcoming SHRM competition in Washington state and the Community Banking Research Competition.

    Northern students Joellen Miller of Houghton; Zachary Ulmer of Lisbon, N.D.; Nick Murphy of Elk Point; and Alexander Gray of Pierre will compete in the Society for Human Resource Management Student Case Competition in Tigard, Ore., on March 31 and April 1.   • ABERDEEN, S.D. – The third annual Lamont-Rhodes Lecture will bring an expert in agricultural economics to the campus of Northern State University.

    Dr. Michael Boehlje’s speech, presented by the NSU School of Business and Dacotah Bank, will take place on Thursday, April 6. The event begins with a brunch buffet at 7:30 a.m. in Dacotah Hall. Boehlje will speak at 8:30 a.m. in Krikac Auditorium.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Area businesses are encouraged to register for the Northern State University Career Fair, which will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 9 in the NSU Student Center Centennial Rooms.

    The career fair, sponsored by NSU Career Services and Aberdeen Development Corporation, is designed to promote post-graduation, professional employment and internship opportunities for Northern students.
